Live Music - Jam Session- Open Mike

DATE: 3rd Thursday of every Month:  Dec. 20, 2012

DATE: Dec. 20, 2012

TIME: 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Ironworks Restaurant

17233 N. 45th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85308 - (602) 843-0909

Ironworks is located slightly N. of W. Bell Rd., E. side of 45th Ave.

Our audiences are a mix of musicians and listeners alike.  To use the old cliche', "Pickers & Grinners".

The entire evening is FREE with the exception of whatever meal and beverage you might order.  Ironworks has reasonable food prices and a very attractive menu to choose from.  As a bonus, our meeting room has very large windows with access to a nice outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful lake surrounded by an eye-appealing greenbelt. There's no cover charge for anyone.  Our banquet size room includes a restroom, a beverage bar, and our own private entrance south of the main restaurant entrance.  The evening's dress and agenda is very informal, we’re all about having fun.  Dinner ordering begins as early as 5:30 p. m. with live music following shortly afterwards.  Entertainment is provided by a mix of diverse music talent from highly respected seasoned performers to aspiring musicians who come to hone their skills in a live setting.  Everyone is welcome.

Backup band duties are performed by Denny Sarver, 3 Wheel Drive fame (Upright Bass) along with Gene Burkhart, (Lead Guitar) and Dave Beaty, (Pedal Steel Guitar).  Ray Scalf (Lead Guitarist) may also be joining us.  Many of the Marty Robbins Tribute singers will be performing along with a host of great open-mike performers who always compliment our monthly Ironworks gatherings.  The evening's focus is to honor Marty's memory and have a good time.  We look forward to having you visit us.  Please call me if you have questions, etc., (602) 677-2834

Very best regards,

John Edmonson Sr.

Program Director, FOMR

News Flash!!! - The 10th Annual show Southwest Steel Guitar Association (SWSGA) is just around the corner, January 17, 18, 19, 2013.  The Convention will be at the Sheraton Hotel, I-17 & Dunlap.  Times: All 3 Days 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.  SWSGA’s Annual Show & Convention is destined to be the best ever! Headliners will include Merle Haggard’s eldest son, Marty, in concert on Thursday evening.

NOTE: Due to conflicting dates the Ironworks jam is cancelled for the month of January 2013.  We will resume our annual schedule third Thursday of every month beginning February 2013.

PS: Denny Sarver & Billy Easton have joined The Marty Haggard band and will be playing regular shows in Casa Grande, Arizona.  If the name sounds familiar it’s because Marty is Merle Haggard’s son.  Denny will be playing upright bass and Billy will be playing steel guitar for Marty. You can visit Marty’s website by googling  martyhaggard.com and click on Marty Haggard Official Website for his bio, show dates, (see enclosed flyer) and other interesting information.  The Marty Haggard Band will be playing at the Paramount Theatre in Casa Grande, Arizona.
